Citrix Provisioning Server 4.5: Administration

CTX-1900AI introduces administrators and other IT professionals to the operational theory behind Citrix Provisioning Server 4.5 and prepares them to install, configure and administer the product. Interactive instructor-led discussion and hands-on exercises guide learners through tasks and prepare them to manage Citrix Provisioning Server 4.5 in production environments.

Upon successful completion of this course, learners are able to perform the following:
• Identify the components, services and communications of Citrix Provisioning Server 4.5
• Identify system requirements and install Citrix Provisioning Server 4.5
• Configure a Citrix Provisioning Server 4.5 installation and add it to the Citrix Provisioning Server database
• Create a vDisk
• Install Citrix Provisioning Server software on a target device and create a Master Target Device image
• Assign vDisks to target devices and enable Password Management in Active Directory
• Block ports for a target device, organize target devices into groups and change the properties of target devices
• Administer server connections, change basic server properties and improve performance by changing advanced server properties
• Administer vDisk connections; unassign, delete and backup vDisks; release vDisk locks; change vDisk properties and update a vDisk
• Install and enable printers on a vDisk and enable the Printer Management feature
• Configure the Streaming Service Account for use with high availability, disable Windows write caching, add servers to the boot file and assign High Availability vDisks to target devices

This course is recommended preparation for Exam 900 Citrix Provisioning Server 4.5: Administration, the requirement for the Citrix Certified Administrator for Citrix Provisioning Server 4.
